Scott Benjamin is the head coach of Mens Soccer at Bunker Hill Community College. He has led the team to eight state titles, five regional championships, and in 2015 led his team to the national championship final. In 2015 he was the National North Region coach of the year and one of four finalists for the NSCAA National Coach of the Year. He has been named the NJCAA Region XXI Coach of the Year for the 2008 – 2015 seasons. He was awarded NJCAA District III Coach of the year award in 2010. He holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching license and has over 30 years of experience with youth coaching and development. Scott serves as an adviser to Charlestown Youth Soccer Association and serves on the advisory board for the America Scores after school soccer and literacy program in Boston.
Jake Beverlin was named the head mens soccer coach at UMass Boston in February. With his appointment he became just the sixth head coach in the programs history.
Beverlin came to UMass Boston after serving as the head assistant mens soccer coach at Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown since 2009. Having coached and competed at all levels both in the United States and in Europe, Beverlin will be tasked with making the mens soccer program one of the top teams both in the Little East Conference and in Division III.
While at Bunker Hill, he played a major part in helping the mens team to a combined record of 36-4-3 over the last two seasons, and the programs highest NJCAA national ranking in 2012 (2nd).
