All Washington Track & Field camps are open to all participant regardless of skill level. Please visit our site regularly to keep up to date with all our track and field camp news. Description 

Washington Track Camps LLC is proud to offer our annual Summer Track and Field Camp. This year's camp will provide a wide variety of learning experiences for all levels of track and field athletes. From on-the-track instruction of proper techniques, to video analysis, to exciting presentations from some of the U.S.'s top athletes, campers will have a jam packed 4 days of track and field that will prepare them for success in their upcoming seasons and careers. Campers will train on Dempsey Indoor Track with the University coaches, as well as other training and athletic facilities on the campus of the University of Washington.

 

All track and field events will be covered at our camp. Field event implements are available, but athletes are encouraged to bring their own if they are able to. Sprinters, hurdlers, and distance runners are encouraged to bring spikes and all athletes should come in proper warm up and workout attire. Parents are welcome to stay and watch camp. This is a day camp only. Campers are encouraged to bring a light snack for our afternoon break. All campers must fill out a current Camp Wavier.

Check-in takes place at 11:45am - 12:00pm at the Husky Outdoor Track

 

Waiver Information

Please bring a completed Medical Wavier to camp. Campers WILL NOT be able to participate without a wavier signed by a parent or legal guardian.  Download Waiver Form

 

Directions

Track & field Camp will be held at the University of Washington's Husky Outdoor Track, just to the East of Montlake Blvd on the University of Washington's athletic facilities.

Parking Information

The least expensive and most convenient place to park is in the E-1 Lot. This is the extremely large lot located just off Montlake Blvd. The Dempsey Indoor Track is south of the E-1 parking lot, just past the new baseball stadium. There is a pay for kiosk located at the entrance of the E-1 parking lot, and the cost is $6.00 for the day (cash only). A 45 minute grace period will be allowed in the E-18 parking lot next to E-1 off Montlake as well. Final Parking information will be posted and emailed to participants closer to the event. Please note: UW Parking & Commuter Services is its own entity and not directly related to the UW Athletic Department.

 

Meals

Meals will NOT be provided for this camp. We will break daily for snack, so campers are expected to bring a light snack. Water and Gatorade will be provided for campers.

Cancellation Policy
Should you register for Washington Track Clinics and later decide you are unable to attend, you may receive a refund IF YOU PURCHASED CANCELLATION PROTECTION and your request is at least seven (7) days prior to the start of camp/clinic. No refunds will be issued IF cancellation protection was NOT selected and purchased online. Your refund will be sent to you in the form most likely as a check to the address we have on file. Please be advised refunds may take 4 weeks to process from the date of your request. You may however, request a credit for a future camp/clinic run by Washington Track Camps, LLC. A voucher credits you the full amount of the camp (no admin fee deductions) and you are able to then apply this voucher with paid camp fee to a future camp. Camp Description

Washington Track Camps is proud to offer our annual Lil' Dawg Track and Field Camp. Lil' Dawg camp is an introduction to the sport of track and field for young children ages 5-9. Campers will be exposed to a wide range of track and field events and taught basic skill instruction in each discipline. Training will be at the University of Washington Outdoor Track, and will be coached by current University of Washington track coaches and athletes.

 

General Information

A range of track and field events will be covered at our camp. No equipment is necessary, but all young athletes should come in proper warm up and workout attire. Please dress appropriately for the weather. We WILL hold the camp rain or shine! Parents are welcome to stay and watch camp. This is a day camp only. Campers are asked to bring a light snack for our mid-morning break. Water and Gatorade will be available to all campers. All campers must fill out a current Camp Wavier.

Description

We are excited to continue our extremely popular workshop for the College Bound Student-Athlete.  This workshop is intended for high school athletes, parents, and coaches that would like to learn how the process of becoming a recruited student athlete works.  Coach Drake will address what it takes to be a recruited athlete, how to get a scholarship, NCAA rules around recruiting, NCAA Eligibility Center, and Financial Aid.

 

Coach Drake is currently the Associate Head Track/XC coach at the University of Washington.  Coach Drake was a middle distance runner at the University of Colorado, and coached at Colorado for 7 years.  In 2002 Drake moved to the Northwest and was the Head Cross Country coach for Washington State University before joining the Husky staff in the summer of 2009.  JD has coached and observed many great athletes during his coaching tenure and is excited to share his knowledge of college athletics with you.  With over 25 years of experience in the world of college recruiting Coach Drake will give you all the knowledge you need to navigate the world of becoming a college student athlete.
