Where is camp held?

UW Gymnastics Training Facility inside Alaska Airlines Arena, concourse level, near the Team Shop. Click here for a map, directions, and parking information.

My child has never done gymnastics before. Will she be able to keep up?

Yes! We have beginners through level 10 gymnasts and put into groups of similar abilities.

How are groups decided for the camp?

Campers are put into groups according to the ability level that they sign up as. We do a quick assessment the first day of camp to confirm the groups. We would like similar skill levels together for optimal learning. For lunch and our fun activities after lunch (bowling/canoeing/games) we put into age appropriate groups.

What should campers wear during camp?

Campers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that will allow them to move freely during the workouts. T-shirts and gym shorts with an elastic band are OK, but a gymnastics leotard is recommended. We will have special camp leotards available for order upon confirmation of your registration. You will receive an email with an order form describing the leotard and pricing. Last year they were a big hit!

Also, we will let you know of any special clothing requirements you need to be aware of for each activity prior to the first day of camp.

When should I drop off and pick up my child?

Camp begins each day at 9 am and ends at 4 pm. Please arrive no earlier than 8:45 am. No child will be permitted in the facility before this time. Please also plan to pick your child up promptly at 4 pm.

Adult must sign in and sign out for campers each day. Form for people you will allow to do this (will be sent OR is on website).

Where should I park when dropping off or picking up my child?

You will receive further information (and parking passes) after registering for camps. Each camp registration includes a parking pass that willl give you acccess to one of the many lots around the Arena.

Important: The Parking Pass is for pick-up and drop off only. It is only valid for the times listed on the pass. If you decide to stay and watch outside of these times you will have to pay the parking fee. On Day 3 of each camp there will be a camp show during the last hour of camp. This is longer than the pick up time covered by the pass so you will have to pay for parking then also.

I completed the registration process, but I did not receive a confirmation…what happened?

You should receive a email confirmation after registering Please check to make sure you entered all of the correct information on your registration form. You may also want to check your email program’s spam or junk mail folder, just in case. If you need additional assistance, please email gymdawgssummercamp@gmail.com.

What is the GymDawgs Camp refund policy?

A full refund (less $25.00 processing fee) may be received upon notification no later than 7 days prior to the beginning of each session. There will be no refunds honored 7 days or less prior to the first day of camp.

If you choose to switch sessions and there is a space available in that session, the refund policy does not apply. If however the session is full, the refund policy would be in play.
