Tommy Nienhaus

Head Coach

Tommy Nienhaus comes to Jamestown from Shattuck-St. Marys School, Faribault, Minn., where he is assistant boys coach for the U18 USSF Development Academy. The team is currently preparing for nationals in Houston, which begin Sunday, July 14. He has also worked with elite state players through the Minnesota Olympic Development Program.


“I am excited for this opportunity at Jamestown College,” Nienhaus said. “Im looking forward to getting to know the players and building on the success of last season.”


“We had an outstanding applicant pool, but theres no question Tommy is the right guy for the job. Hes an outstanding individual and a quality coach,” said Associate Athletic Director Tom Hager. “His connections in the soccer world, with both coaches and players, will be a great addition to our program. This is a good hire for Jamestown College and for our soccer program.”


Nienhaus earned a bachelors degree from Indiana University Purdue University – Indianapolis and holds a masters in exercise science with emphasis in rehabilitation sciences from California University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife have two children.
