Tubby Smith Basketball Camps

 

Tubby Smith Basketball Camps at High Point University are dedicated to providing basketball camps that are instructional, informational and fun along with creating a great atmosphere to learn!

 

The coaching staff here at HPU prides ourselves in teaching the game of basketball to players of all ages and ability levels. Campers will receive instruction from some of the top coaches in the country focusing on mechanics and drills to help each individual player improve. HPU Basketball Camps are dedicated to the development and growth of all campers who attend.

Description

Boys and girls basketball camp with an emphasis on learning the fundamentals in a fun and competitive environment. Drills, skills competitions, and games will take place daily with playoffs and championship concluding on the last day of camp.

What To Bring

Campers should wear a t-shirt and shorts with basketball shoes and socks. Campers DO NOT need to bring a ball as the camp will provide basketballs. Additionally, water will be provided with cups and water jugs throughout the gym. You may bring a water bottle but be sure to have your name written on it. However, it is not necessary.

 

Drop Off / Pick Up

Morning session Drop off will be in the Millis center circle at the Panther statue beginning at 8:15am. Campers will be checked in on the first day at in the lobby with daily roll call taking place 9:00am.

 

Morning session Pick-up will be at 12:00pm located at the lower Millis Lot prior to the security entrance on Panther Drive. Coaches will walk their teams down the steps to be picked up.

Parking Information

Parents should park in the lot across from the Millis Center if they choose to walk their child(ren) in each morning or if they want to come inside to pick them up. Additionally, on Championship Thursday parents are encouraged to come and watch the games and awards ceremony. Please park in the lot across from the Millis Center parking lot.

 

Meals

The camp will not serve lunch and it is not included in the cost of attendance.

There will be a camp concessions that will include sports drinks and some snacks. The price is TDB for the concessions.

 

Merchandise

High Point basketball gear will be available for sale on the first day of camp in the morning and the last day of camp at the end of camp. Price is determined by the book store.

 

Refund Policy

There is a $50.00 non-refundable fee for all cancelations.

 

Waiver Information

Each camper is required to complete the signed parent medical release form to waive and release Tubby Smith Basketball Camp and High Point University from any and all liability for injuries incurred while at camp. Available on registration form. 

 

DISCLAIMER: Please note that in accordance with NCAA rules, an athletic booster or other representatives of High Point University athletics interests may not pay for any expense (e.g. registration fee, travel, lodging, etc.) related to a prospective student-athletes participation in a sports camp or clinic administered by High Point University Athletics or any of its coaches or staff members. This camp is open to all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.
