Home of the Kat Conner Soccer Academy
The Bobcat soccer complex features two championship soccer fields, a full-service track, concession stand, equipment room, restrooms, locker rooms weight room, changing area, showers and satellite training room and a 500 seat grandstand. Located on the north end of campus this facility is placed perfectly next to a major entrance into campus.
Where is Kat Conners Soccer Academy held?
The camps are held at the Bobcat Soccer Complex, Texas States primary game field.
Who are the coaches at the Kat Conner Soccer Academy?
Texas State University head coach Kat Conner and assistant coaches Lauren Frazier and Alex Totillo oversee the Kat Conner Soccer Academies and are actively involved in the day-to-day training of the campers. In addition, current Texas State Soccer players and collegiate coaches will be assisting with camp sessions and operations.
What if I dont have insurance?
We will provide you with an insurance waiver in order for your camper to participate.
Can I pay a deposit to hold my campers spot?
Yes! An initial deposit of $75 for Half/Full Day Camp, $150 for Residential camp will hold your campers spot. From there you can make payments whenever you would like. However, full payment must be received 7 days prior to the camp start date.
What are the refund procedures?
There are no refunds after the first day of camp for either camp. If a residential camper cancels prior to 10 days out from the first day of camp, there is a $150 cancellation fee (loss of deposit) .
Will my child be supervised in the dorm?
Yes. Every camper will be assigned to a counselor. The camp staff (including administrators, coaches, and counselors) will be housed in the dorm. The dorm staff/camper ratio will be 1:10.
Will my child need bed linens and toiletries?
Yes. All campers will need a pillow and bed linens for a twin bed. You will also need to send toiletries and towels with your camper.
Do I really need a current physical?
Yes. If your camper has had a physical in the last 12 months from the actual camp dates, you generally wont have to make another appointment to obtain documentation. Without a completed physical, your camper will not be allowed to participate in camp activities.
What about roommate requests?
The camp welcomes roommate requests and will attempt to accommodate the requests, but does not guarantee them. Roommate requests must correspond to each other. Rooming assignments are done one week prior to the start of a session. It is recommended that roommates send in their applications at the same time. Dont wait too long though, as your session may close.
Is there a penalty for a lost room key during camp?
There is a $150 fee for a lost room key. This will be paid to the residence hall.
How much spending money should I send with my camper?
The only money that campers will need is for snacks. Although meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are covered through registration fees, most campers want a snack after the evening session. For Full Day and Residential Campers, we will make a trip to the bookstore for the campers to check out merchandise. Note that there will not be a camp bank. Campers will be responsible for their own money.
Will there be a camp store?
Yes! Texas State Soccer merchandise will be available for purchase on first and last days of camp. You can find shirts, scarves, balls, socks, sweats, anything your soccer player could ask for.
How many campers will there be in each dorm room?
Most rooms are designed for two campers. A limited number of four-person suites are available and are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your camper is attending as part of an odd-numbered group, we will do our best to allow them to stay together, although there are no guarantees.
Will my child be matched with his/her roommate preference?
We will do everything possible to accommodate roommate preferences. Please make sure that your camper and his/her preferred roommate have written each other down on their respective registration forms.
