Colorado College’s first and only varsity head coach, Susan Stuart-Elliott has established CC as a perennial contender for an NCAA Division III playoff bid and a contender for a national championship.
She has guided the Tigers to an overall record of 239-115-1 (.675) during her 23 seasons and her teams have made nine NCAA Tournament appearances, including six consecutive from 2002 through 2007.
Colorado College earned a trip to the national semifinals in 2005 by coming from behind to defeat Cortland State, 10-9, in overtime of the regional championship game at Stewart Field. The Tigers also posted the biggest comeback in the tournament’s history when they overcame a 9-0 deficit to defeat No. 18 Nazareth College, 12-11, in triple overtime in 2007.
Stuart-Elliott was named West Region Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association in 2001, 2004, 2005, 2014, 2016 and 2017, as well as the 2011 and 2012 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
Lucy Gerrity, who played lacrosse and field hockey at Colby College, is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Colorado College women’s lacrosse program.
Gerrity brings a myriad of experiences as a Division III student-athlete, coach and administrator to her first assignment in the collegiate ranks. Her responsibilities at CC will include on-field coaching, recruiting and team travel planning.
Gerrity joined the CC staff after four years at the prep level, first at her alma mater, North Yarmouth Academy, in Yarmouth, Maine, and most recently at Madeira School in McLean, Va.
