TCU Basketball Team Camp

Description

Our team camp will provide varsity level competition and game experience for high school level teams to prepare for the upcoming season. Each team is guaranteed 4 pool play games and the camp culminates in a single-elimination tournament to determine a camp champion. The tournament bracket will be determined after the conclusion of pool play Saturday evening. 

 

Camp Features

 Camp will consist of games with certified high school and college officials. Team instruction is provided by the TCU Basketball Coaching staff. There will be an NCAA initial eligibility seminar. All camp locations will have professional health services staff on hand.

 

Cost:

  • Attend with: One Team $250 (Limit 10 players, 2 coaches per team) $25 per camper over 10
  • Attend with: Two Teams $400
  • Attend with: Three Teams $500

  • Varsity & JV Levels
  • Teams may have 7th & 8th graders if they compete at a HS aged levels

Camp Times/ Conclusion Of Camp

Games will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday with the last game beginning at 9:00 PM. The schedule for Saturday and Sunday will be determined by the number of teams in the team camp, but a schedule of 9:00 AM-9:00 PM on Saturday and 9:00 AM-6:00 PM on Sunday should be anticipated.

Our camp schedule will be determined by the number of teams signed up. Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way to communicate. All additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you registered for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

 

What to bring

  • Come dressed and ready to play with athletic shorts, basketball shoes. Multiple games will be played each day so plan accordingly with gear you may need. Teams should wear coordinating jerseys or colors, to designate teams.
  • Water will be available throughout the facility, but players may want to bring a water bottle and/or a sports drink.

 

Camp Trainer: We have a full-time, certified athletic trainer who will be on site throughout the entirety of camp. If you have any medical concerns regarding your child, please convey this to the trainer at check-in. Should you have any questions about this policy, please speak to our camp trainer at check-in. Each Team Coach will need all participating players to complete the medical release form prior to participation. No exceptions

 

Visitation: All family members are welcome to come and observe camp. Signage from the lobby will direct you to seating. If you do attend, you must park in Lot 6 or Lot 7 adjacent to Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena or Lot 7 or Admissions lot, adjacent to the TCU Rec Center.

Check-in

Check-in will take place for all teams in the main entrance of the Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena 5:00pm-6:00pm on Friday. If a team is scheduled for a 6:00pm game, they will be required to check-in by 5:30pm. At check in, coaches will receive player and coach t-shirts, updated schedules, game rules, and bracket schedules

 

Waiver Information

The Medical Treatment-consent and Release Authorization form will be attached to your e-mailed receipt and are available on-line. Please print fill out and bring to camp. Download Waiver Form

 

Meals

Meals will not be provided. Concessions will be available for purchase in the main lobby of the Ed & Rae Schollmaier Arena. There will be an option to use of campuses Market Square (Cafeteria). Please make this known ahead of time. There will be an additional fee and can be purchases on site. ($10 per camper) Note Cafeteria is open only from 11:30am-1:15pm

Snacks and drinks will be sold from the concession stand. A camp bank will be available to safely keep spending money each day of camp.  

 

Miscellaneous Information

 

Refund Policy 

  • A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is required to reserve spot in camp.
  • No partial refunds/discounts/or prorated rates for attending other events or being able to only attend certain days.
  • If camper cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances, notification must be made prior to check-in.
  • A $25.00 failed payment/returned check charge will be charged per transaction
