Savannah State University Volleyball Camps

Savannah State University Volleyball Camps offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of Volleyball. Campers will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful Volleyball players. Organized games between campers will provide a competitive outlet after specific drills have been practiced.

Drill progressions will be aimed towards recognizing and developing good habits in all aspects of the game. General courtesy, respect for teammates and opponents and the importance of hard work will be taught to the campers through example by our quality Instructors.

Description 

All camps sessions are held on the beautiful campus of Savannah State University in Savannah, GA. The camps give the opportunity to experience college level Division II volleyball training, including guidance on choices to consider for college bound students and gaining experience to play on their specific high school teams. Every athlete is different and unique, the primary purpose of the camp is to teach the camper how to use their own ability and athleticism to improve their volleyball game and to learn fundamental aspects of the game. The camp is focused on helping young athletes progress in skill and gain the most from each training and practice session, without getting overwhelmed.

 

The camp is designed to improve the fundamental skills of volleyball: serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and individual defense. The camp is highly recommended for athletes who have not yet chosen a specialty position. Boys are allowed to sign up for this camp.

The camp will consists of school or club team players that will compete against each other. There will be clinic sessions and the teams will have one of the SSU volleyball players as a second coach to help with instruction. If you do not have a team you can still sign for the camp and you will be attached to one.

 

Cost: $50.00 per player (Minimum 8 team members)
