Stephanie Lannon was named the head coach of the Salem State University womens lacrosse team in the summer of 2014. Coach Lannon comes back to SSU after two seasons on the coaching staff at Gordon College where she served as an assistant lacrosse coach for the Fighting Scots. At Gordon College, Stephanie also served as the assistant field hockey coach in the fall of 2013. The Fighting Scots won the 2013 CCC Field Hockey Championship.Beginning her college coaching career with the SSU Field Hockey team in the fall of 2012, Stephanie will also be the assistant field hockey coach as well, starting in the fall of 2014.
Stephanie was the volunteer Head Coach of the Coastal and Metro/Northeast Summer Bay State Games Field Hockey teams. She has also volunteered as the Head Coach of the Swampscott Indoor Lacrosse team. Throughout recent summers, Lannon has worked various field hockey summer camps. On her own, Lannon coaches both field hockey and lacrosse athletes individually and in group settings. A 2012 graduate of Bridgewater State University, Lannon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science. Stephanie earned MASCAC and Little East Conference Academic Honors all four years of her career. Lannon was a four-year member of the field hockey and lacrosse programs, captaining both teams her senior year. The Bears Lacrosse program won four NEWLA Championships, making four NCAA appearances, while Lannon was a member of the team. The Bears continue their success in recently winning their 12th consecutive conference championship.
Lannon, a native of Swampscott, MA, currently resides in Swampscott. Stephanie works at the Lynch van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead, MA as a personal trainer along with serving as a nanny for a family in Swampscott.
