Beth Ann Wilson

Head Womens Volleyball Coach

Wilson is in her 24th season as the Head Coach of the Marymount University Womens Volleyball program. Named the Capital Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2006, she has acquired a 391-385 career record with the Saints.


Since 1993, the program has recorded 12 seasons over .500 and 10, 20-plus win seasons. Last years 2014 campaign set a program mark for victories with 28, beating the previous record of 26 set in 2012. Also an 2014, the program earned a NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional ranking. The last ranking the Saints received was in 2006 when the program went 24-9 and won the CAC Regular-Season Championship.


Under Wilsons leadership, Marymount has had 32 All-CAC selections, one CAC Rookie of the Year, three AVCA All-Region Selections and two Honorable Mention All-Americans. Four of her former players, Suzanne Dougherty, Chris Ann Becki, Jennifer Baize, and Mary Carroll, are in the Marymount Athletics Hall of Fame.


Johannah Zabal

Assistant Womens Volleyball Coach

Zabal is in her seventh season as an assistant coach with the Marymount University womens volleyball team. A defensive specialist for the Saints from 2005-06, her teams finished second in the Capital Athletic Conference twice while winning the 2006 regular-season title.


Zabal earned her B.S. in Health Promotion Management from MU after a two-year playing career at Catonsville Community College. She is a certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT) and certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA-CSCS) and will oversee all strength and conditioning for the squad. She has also coached for numerous camps and clinics throughout the area.


Beyond her coaching skills for volleyball, Zabal also heads the Strength and Conditioning program for the Saints.

Victor Troyan

Assistant Womens Volleyball Coach

Troyan is in his eighth year as an assistant coach at Marymount, bringing more than 17 years of high school and club experience with both women and men to the sidelines. In addition to his duties with the Saints, he is currently coaching the Eclipse team in NOVA Volleyball.


Prior to his time with Marymount he was the boys club volleyball head coach at Langley High School and with the Boys 16 team with the NVVA Volleyball program. He was at Bishop Ireton as the head varsity coach for six years and then another year as a volunteer coach with Iretons varsity and junior varsity teams.


Troyan also has experience with the Girls 16 team with the Metro American Volleyball Club (formerly Asics Metro Volleyball Club) and working as an assistant with the Metro of Maryland 16s developmental team.
