Coach Rocky Delfino comes to Roberts after 9 seasons as head coach of men’s lacrosse at Monroe Community College, having amassed an overall winning record 105-32. Delfino was named Region III Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2005 and NJCAA National Coach of the Year in 2005. He led the 2010 team to a program-record 17 victories. In addition to his position as head coach he is also an assistant professor for MCC’s Health and Physical Education Department.
Assistant Coach- Defensive Coordinator
Ian Nash began as the Defensive Coordinator for the Roberts Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team in 2015. In his second year, Coach Nash led his Man-Down Defense to an 82.1% success rate, which was good for 4th Best in the National Ranks. The defense also saw a significant improvement in Scoring Defense, decreasing their Goals Against Average by 2.62.
As a player, Nash played for Irondequoit High School (NY) from 2007-2008. In 2007, Nash played for the Section V Championship Title team that made it to the State semi-finals, earning 2nd Team All-County honors as a Junior. In 2008, Nash led his team to the Section V Championship Game and earned 1st Team All-County Honors.
Nash played for the 2011 National Championship Title team at Salisbury University, seeing significant playing time at the Long Stick Midfield position. Prior to Salisbury, Nash played for Monroe Community College, where he was teammates with Coach Cornaire, from 2008-2010. At Monroe, Nash earned All-American honors in’09, as well as, 1st Team All-Region Honors in’10. Coach Nash also served as Captain of the team for both of his years at Monroe.
Coach Nash finished his lacrosse playing career, right here, at Roberts in 2013. He notched 4 Goals and 4 Assists as an LSM and was a pivotal player for the Defense. He was also voted as Team Captain in his lone year at Roberts. Born in South Korea, Coach Nash is currently a Rochester native.
Assistant Coach- Offensive Coordinator
Colin Cornaire began as the Offensive Coordinator for the Roberts Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team in 2015. In his second year, Coach Cornaire led his Man-Up Offense to 10th Best in the National Rankings.
As a player, Cornaire played for Rush-Henrietta High School (NY) from 2006-2008. He received All-County Honorable Mention honors in’07 and’08, totaling 85 points in his career. Cornaire played for Monroe Community College from 2010-2011, scoring 68 points as a freshman, good for 13th in the Nation and 2nd Team All-Region Honors. He would end his career with over 100 points at Monroe.
Coach Cornaire finished his lacrosse playing career, right here, at Roberts in the Inaugural 2012 season. He scored the 1st goal in the History of the Program, ending the season with a team best 44 points. Cornaire averaged 4.8 points per game during the season, which was good for 1st in the Nation. Cornaire earned “All-American” honors that season, comically, for the “All-Flow” (Best Hair) team. He Graduated from Roberts in 2014 with a B.S. in Marketing.
Coach Cornaire is a Rochester native, living in Pittsford with his 3 daughters, Sawyer, Shea, and Elle, and his wife, Elizabeth.
Assistant Coach- Recruiting Coordinator
Alex Williams is in his first season as an Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for the Roberts Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team. Working primarily with the Face-Off unit, he managed our top F/O player to a 56% winning percentage, reaching as high as 4th Nationally.
Coach Williams comes to Roberts with an extensive background in Coaching. Serving as the Varsity summer coach at Penfield (NY) from 2010- Present. As well as, assisting with the Western Royals from 2012-2013.
As a player, Williams played for Penfield High School (NY) from 2009-2010. A two-year starter, Williams received 2nd Team All-County Honors in’09 and’10. He would go on to play Basketball and Lacrosse at Southern Virginia University, where he won the 2010 NAIA USCAA Division I National Championship in Basketball.
Coach Williams also finished his lacrosse playing career at Roberts where he played in the Inaugural 2012 season. He would remain a starter for all four years (2012-2015). He finished Top 20 in the National Rankings for Caused Turnovers in two of his four seasons and led the 2014 team to the most wins in Roberts short history. Williams graduated from Roberts in 2015 with a B.S. in Business Administrations, with minors in Coaching and Social Science.Coach Williams is a Rochester native, currently living in North Chili.
