The Rising Star Basketball School

Fundamentals….Skillwork…Confidence….Improvement!

The The Rising Star Basketball School was founded with the desire to create an atmosphere to teach the game properly. Unlike many camps that emphasize “just playing” or “casual instruction,” Rising Star continually seeks to improve the ability level of our players by providing them with superb coaches who oversee thorough teaching and proper repetitions.

The atmosphere at our camp encourages players to improve their work ethic and skills while always fostering the importance of sportsmanship and team play. The deterioration of skill development in the United States has been attributed to the lack of fundamentals. Players are not being taught properly, if at all. Across the country, shooting, ball handling, passing and overall team concepts have suffered over the last several years. Rising Star values improving these very necessary skills that every aspiring player must have, regardless of level.

Description

The mission of the Rising Star College Exposure Camp is to provide top level student athletes with a venue to showcase their basketball talents to College Coaches.  Our goal is to provide the aspiring student athletes an opportunity to be seen by division 2 and 3 institutions in the best environment possible.

Our experience is that in a games only setting a few players can dominate the ball defeating the purpose of a coach trying to see your abilities. Your investment in your future, your time and money dictates a better way. The Rising Star College Exposure Camp will put players in not only competitive games but a series of drills as well that will show abilities to shoot, pass, ball handling, play one on one and defend.

We believe in quality not quantity. We will not overbook. It does not allow us to give you the best opportunity to shine.

Friday will be a players/parents only evening with the staff coaches orientating you to how to best approach an exposure camp, the drills we will be using and allow you to show your best. A short opening comments from a TBA noted speaker will start our event.

Cost: $249.00 .. All participants will receive a reversible jersey.
