Potteiger Soccer Academy


The Potteiger Soccer Academy with its programs held at Lee University is dedicated to providing a soccer experience that is a combination of instructional and fun, all in a safe and positive atmosphere.

The coaching staff here at Lee University prides itself on teaching the game of soccer to players of all ages and ability levels. All camps are taught by our coaching staff and players. The mechanics and drills that are taught at our camps are used with our players. We are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our campers.

Lee Soccer 4v4 Program

Boys & Girls Ages 5-12



The goal of the 4 v 4 program is to provide a quality learning experience for kids of all ages & skill levels in a positive, fun, organized, and safe atmosphere.  Basic skills and techniques will be taught each week but the major emphasis will be on playing 4 v 4.  Our hope is that at the completion of the program every child has improved in some way as a soccer player, but more importantly has had a really special soccer experience.  


Age Group/Divisional Break Down

As in the past, there will be:

Four (4) DIVISIONS: Sparks, Heat, Fire & Flames (based on Age)

Each Division will have four (4) SQUADS: Red, Blue, White & Green (randomly chosen)

Each Squad will then be divided into two (2) Teams each Saturday morning.

Your child will report each session to his/her Squad (Color). 



SPARKS Division (generally 5 & 6 year olds) meets Tuesday 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 12:00 noon

HEAT Division (generally 6 & 7 year olds) meets Tuesday 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m.

FIRE Division (generally 8 & 9 year olds) meets Tuesday 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m.

FLAMES Division (generally 10, 11 & 12 year olds) meets Tuesday 6:30 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m.


What to bring?

Inflated Soccer ball

Water bottle (no water available on field)

Comfortable soccer shoes

Shin guards

Layered clothing (avoid thick, heavy jackets)

Lawn chairs for the fans (sit close to the action)


** Please have your child wear their Lee 4v4 tee-shirt for each Saturday match


Weather Cancellation 

For cancellations due to inclement weather, we will email a notice to you one hour before the sessions begins (4:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. on Saturday).  There will be no refunds for missed dates due to inclement weather.



Please make every effort to be on time recognizing that the training sessions & matches need to be completed within the designated time.  We are very punctual with our start and completion times for our own organization but also for your convenience. 


Tuesday Night Clinics

These one-hour sessions will be instructional clinics for your child to work on their skills and technique.  Fun games will be incorporated along with some teaching on basic soccer tactics in the 4v4 game. 


Saturday Matches:   The games will be broken down into two 20-minute halves.  Halftime is five minutes.

First Tuesday evening

You will be notified by email on Monday, March 11th the SQUAD (color) your child will be on as well as his/her Division (the ages listed above are only general guidelines. All final decisions for division are based on registration numbers at each age.) 

Your child will then report to that appropriate field (Red, Blue, Green or White) on Tuesday upon arrival (the fields and coaches will be clearly identified!). 

Their respective coaches will check them in which eliminates a long registration line. 

*We will have staff present and eager to help with any questions and point you in the right direction to your childs squad color. 


Saturday Matches

Please have your child wear their Lee 4v4 shirt for each Saturday match. Your child should report to his/her Coach/Squad upon arrival and then will be assigned a team for that match day.

Employee Discount code: LEEEMP (notice 3 Es) is $10.00

(In order to receive this discount, you must use a current Lee email address in the registration process.)

Sibling Discount code: LEESIB  is $10.00 for each additional sibling beyond the first.


Do you offer Refunds?

Prior to March 5 (one week prior) we offer a full refund.

After March 5, a $25.00 administration fee will be charged, except in the case of a limiting injury where a full refund will be provided.  



Operations Field/Auxiliary Fields

Auxiliary fields:  on 18th Street between Parker St and Church St (map posted below)




Parking spaces can be limited and may involve a bit of a walk (Good exercise!).  You can look for parking in the parking lots along Parker St or other parts of the Lee Campus.  We will try to have a drop-off system arranged but please plan for a few extra minutes to park & walk.
