Game Time Basketball Academy Camps

Thank you for your interest in the Game Time Basketball Academy Camps. Camp is held on the campus of Palm Beach Atlantic University in downtown West Palm Beach. Our mission at all of our camps and clinics is to provide the most in-depth, detailed all around basketball experience.

Emphasis at these camps is placed upon improving each individual’s skills and knowledge of basketball and no skill level is too great or too small. Every participant, regardless of skill level, will receive instruction in all areas of the game as well as position specific instruction.

Whether you are looking to play in college, make your high school or travel team, improve your skills, enhance your knowledge of the game or simply have fun, Game Time Basketball Camps are right for you.

 

Our camps are available for youth entering grades 3 thru 12 in the Fall of 2019 and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you don’t see a date that works for you at this time please check back as we add new sessions often.

Description

SESSIONS 1, 2 & 3 are Skills Camps for Boys and Girls entering Grades 3 thru 10 in the Fall of 2019. Campers may sign up for as many weeks as they desire. All sessions are similar in nature, but campers will benefit and grow from attending multiple weeks. Participants are grouped by age and skill level. Groups may vary from week to week. There will be drills, games and competitions promoting skill development and teamwork. Early Bird & After care is available.

Game Time Basketball Camps are under the leadership of Dave Balza. Coach Balza is the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He has over 25 years of college coaching experience and has run successful high energy camps for the past two decades.

 

This years camp director is Evan Sizemore, Assistant Mens Basketball Coach at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Coach Sizemore has been involved with the Game Time Basketball Camps for five years. Both Coach Balza & Coach Sizemore are Christian men who incorporate their faith and values into their teaching and coaching. Counselors training our campers are a mix of area coaches and college basketball players.

2019 Basketball Boys Elite Mini Camp

Description

Elite Mini Camp is intended for the serious high school student-athlete looking to perform in front of the PBA coaching staff. Elite Mini Camp is a much shorter version of our Prospect Camp. It is run like one college practices. Check-in is Thursday at 5 pm. Practices runs Thursday 6-9 pm. Drills test the players ability and skill level. Camp ends with a short scrimmage segment. Each camper receives a shirt. Consider adding an Individual Participant package ($75) to play in Fridays Team Shootout, where participant will be placed on a team with other individuals for three games in our June 7th Varsity Shootout, which takes place Friday afternoon and evening (12 pm-9 pm) in front of the coaching staff.

Description

Prospect Camp is offered for high school boys basketball teams as well as individuals entering Grades 10-12 and runs simultaneous with our Session 3 youth camp from June 17-19.

 

Prospect Camp is an intensive 3-day camp for high school teams in a combination skills / team camp setting as well as for potential college prospects to be evaluated by college coaches. Individual prospects who do not come with their team will be placed on a team with other individuals for practices and games and will be coached by a Game Time staff member.

 

Mornings are spent in individual skill work and college level instruction. Afternoons include team practices and contests within and between teams. Evenings are team camp style with games against other teams in one of our Summer Shootouts.

 

Teams will compete in a minimum of 5 games over three nights (M-W) as part of our Summer Shootout.  (If a team is interested in just the Shootout, please contact coaching staff.  A limited number of spots in the Shootout are available for teams outside of the Prospect Camp.)

 

When team signs up (minimum of 8 participants), the Head Coach receives free meals (and housing for overnight teams). Coach will lead their team in afternoon practices and evening games. Additional coaches welcome at an additional cost for lodging and meals.

 

Each player must register individually and indicate team they are with. Registrations do not need to come in at the same time.
