Welcome to Ole Miss Men’s Basketball Camps at the University of Mississippi! Ole Miss Men’s Basketball Camps are designed to help improve the performance of basketball players of all ages and skill levels. Campers will receive instruction from some of the top coaches in the country and are dedicated to the development and growth of all campers who attend. Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).

Description

The Ole Miss Team Shootout in June provides teams the opportunity to compete at a high level on the campus of Ole Miss at the Pavilion at Ole Miss and the Turner Recreation Center.

 

All teams will have the ability to learn from the Ole Miss Coaching Staff and Players during the skill development instruction. High School coaches and players will have the ability to learn firsthand from the Ole Miss staff during the break period.

 

Grade levels 8-12 can participate. Depending on the number and skill level, there will be a low varsity/JV division, middle varsity division, and an upper varsity division.

 

Games will begin on Monday, June 10 at 10:00 AM and go throughout the rest of the day. The schedule for Tuesday and Wednesday will begin at 9:00 AM each day.

 

Cost:

$300.00 per team for 1 day

$200.00 per team for additional days

$30.00 per player dorm fee for residential campers

What to bring

Campers should bring the following items: Jersey, shorts, socks, shoes

If staying overnight in the dorms, please bring these additional items: Pillow, sheets, blanket, Toiletries (toothbrush, shampoo, deodorant, shower sandals, and towel).   Coaches may stay in the dorm with their team, however, any adult staying in a dorm room will be required to complete a background check.

 

Check-in

Check-in will be at the main entrance of the Pavilion at Ole Miss right in-between Raising Canes and Steak-N-Shake. Please check-in one hour prior to your teams first game. Temporary parking will be available at the roundabout in-between the Pavilion at Ole Miss and the Fed Ex Academic Center. Once checked in, teams will receive a permanent parking pass to relocate their team bus or team vehicles to the designated parking lot.

 

Following team check-in, there will be a brief educational compliance session for all the teams participating in the Team Shootout. For any team arriving later in the day, there will be an individual team meeting for the educational compliance session.

 

Parking

All parents and spectators will need to receive a temporary parking permit while on the campus of Ole Miss. They can pick up their parking permit in the main entrance of the Pavilion at Ole Miss.

 

Meals

Teams and spectators will be on their own for their meals. The Grill at 1810 will be open and available for teams to eat. Cost per meal is TBD.

 

Waiver Information

Sport Camp Participation Health Information & Medical Release form must be completed and returned for each camper prior to participating in any Ole Miss Athletics Camps.  The forms can be faxed to the Ole Miss Athletics Training Room at (662) 915-1833 (ATTN: Ole Miss Camps) or turned in at the camps check-in site prior to participation.  A copy of a sports physical within one year of the date of camp being attended may be substituted in lieu of a physician's signature.   Download Waiver

What if I have to cancel a camp? In order to be compliant with NCAA rules, please understand that all camps and clinics are non-refundable. If for some reason a camper cannot attend, please inform Kara Hobson (khhobson@olemiss.edu) one week prior to the camp or clinic date and we will gladly forward your camp balance to be used towards another Ole Miss Basketball Camp. If the camp director is not notified one week prior to the camp or clinic date, no forward will occur. If an individual cannot attend due to a medical reason, please provide a doctor's note to (khhobson@olemiss.edu) and the balance will be forwarded, if the cancellation is made prior to camp. Finally, no refunds or balance forwards will be issued upon expulsion or voluntary withdrawal from camp.

Description

The Ole Miss Father/Son Camp is an opportunity for basketball players and fans to learn from the Ole Miss coaching staff and players. The campers will work directly with current staff and players to learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball. The camp will feature group skill instruction, individual drills, 2 on 2 games, and other skill development opportunities.

 

Each camper will receive a commemorative t-shirt for their participation in the camp.

 

Cost:

$150.00 per person | $60.00 per additional son

The Ole Miss Overnight/Day Camp is an opportunity for basketball players entering grades 1st -12th to learn from the Ole Miss coaching staff and players. The campers will work directly with current staff and players to learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball. The camp will feature group skill instruction, individual drills, 3 on 3 games, 5 on 5 games, and other skill development opportunities.

 

Each camper will receive a t-shirt for their participation in the camp.

 

Cost:

$275.00 for Day Campers

$425.00 for Overnight Campers (Staying in Dorms)
