The Wildcat Baseball Camp will cover a wide variety of skills designed to make each camper a more well rounded baseball player. The morning hours of camp are spent covering fundamentals such as how to properly warm up, proper throwing mechanics, as well as both offensive and defensive skills. After lunch, campers will be broken into teams and the scrimmages will begin. Campers will then have the opportunity to showcase the skills they have learned during the morning session. Coach Foppert and his staff of current high school and college players are dedicated to providing a fun and competitive environment at camp. This is a very popular camp and will be capped at 72 participants so sign up early!
Meet The Coach
Drafted as a pitcher by the San Francisco Giants (from the University of San Francisco) in the 2nd round of the 2001 draft, Jesse made his MLB debut on April 14, 2003. Rated by Baseball America as the best pitching prospect in 2003, Foppert broke into the Giants starting rotation in 2003 and was traded in 2005 to the Mariners along with Yorvit Torrealba for Randy Winn.
Jesse returns as Head Coach for the Marin Catholic Varsity Baseball team for his seventh season where he has led the Wildcats to two MCAL Championships and six NCS Division II appearances. For Foppert, a two time all-MCAL baseball player, a USF infielder and Major League Baseball pitcher, helping kids succeed on and off the field is what its all about. Teaching lessons through baseball, like hard work, dedication, teamwork and attitude, coach Foppert knows first-hand how these fundamentals will serve them for life.
