LEAP! Foundations

Want to Learn more about what you can do to promote brain health? Lifestyle Enrichment for Alzheimer’s Prevention (LEAP!) is an exciting, innovative program designed by the University of Kansas Alzheimers Disease Center (KU ADC). Previously offered only at independent living communities, our six week Foundations of LEAP! workshop series is now available at the KU Clinical Research Center and in various rural Kansas communities.

Based on the latest research, Foundations of LEAP! offers a practical information on lifestyle changes you can make to promote brain health.

Topics we’ll cover include: Physical Activity and Exercise, Social and Cognitive Engagement, Nutrition, Sleep and Stress Management.

LEAP! In Action allows participants to put their LEAP! knowledge into action! Participants receive expert coaching in both cardiovascular and resistance training exercises that have been found to improve brain plasticity and functional performance.
