Owls Soccer Academy at Kennesaw State University

The Owls Soccer Academy provides a competitive, intense, and encouraging environment. Our goal is to hire impactful coaches and impart their knowledge of the sport to eager players. Our experienced coaches will explain, demonstrate, and organize a unique learning environment through creative and innovative teaching methods

Also, assisting in the developmental process is the demonstration displayed by some of Kennesaw State’s Soccer Team. Our Camp maintains the lowest player/teacher ratio possible, generally 10:1, in order to give that special individual attention and specific instruction needed to become the best player they can be.

Description

The Owls Soccer Youth Day Camp is open to any and all entrants who are girls and boys ages 7-14 This camp is designed for the camper who wants to challenge themselves to play at a higher level. The morning will consist of training sessions rotated every 30 minutes. Sessions will be coached by college coaches and players. Goalkeepers will get individual training in the mornings and play in games in the afternoons. Early afternoon will focus on positional training to give a specific focus to each camper. The final hour each day will consist of small sided to large sided games.  Water breaks will take place every 30 minutes in the shade. Lunch must be provided by the camper each day.

 

General Information 

Discounts
1. Kennesaw State employees will receive a $20.00 discount for relatives attending any Soccer Camp - Employee Name and ID is required at registration.
2. Relatives of directors receive free tuition
3. Dependents of current camp staff will receive free tuition.
4. Siblings - The first child will pay full price, the second child will receive $20.00 discount.

You must e-mail camp staff to request a code for registration to receive the discount.

Equipment: All campers need to bring a soccer ball, shin guards, cleats, sneakers, soccer socks, water bottle, sunscreen, and lunch.

 

Note: Parents are welcome to watch games from the sideline or the stands, but are not allowed on bench or training area.

 

Note: Two weeks prior to camp, a final confirmation will be sent out with check-in procedures, locations, times and rules included.

Anyone being picked up by someone other than a parent or guardian must provide written permission from a parent or guardian to a camp director upon check-in.

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information

AIRPORT: Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is located 28 miles from Kennesaw. Ground transportation from the airport to Kennesaw State is available through several shuttle services through Atlanta Airport for any campers that need transportation from the airport. Campers will be responsible for reserving a shuttle and communicating their arrival via e-mail to the Camp Director.

 

CAMPER WITH A CAR: Any camper that drives themselves to camp must turn their keys into the Camp Director upon check-in. They will not be allowed to leave campus until they have been officially checked out by a Camp Director at the conclusion of camp.

 

Miscellaneous Information 

Cancellation Policy
All campers who cancel, including for medical reasons, will receive a full refund minus a $50 processing fee. This will be sent only to those requesting such refund in writing at least one week prior to the start of camp. Any cancellations made within 48 hours of the start of camp will not be refunded.

 

Emergency Weather Policy
Throughout each camp our Health Supervisor will monitor any severe weather in the area. Campers and staff will be required to take cover and stay indoors in an approved facility if a lightning strike or threatening weather is in the area, at the discretion of the Camp Director or Health Supervisor if weather becomes a safety concern.

 

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

Description

High school varsity, club/select, and non-recreational soccer players this is the camp for you. The Elite Camp is open to any and all female entrants ages 13-18. The Elite Camp will take you through the step by step process of what a collegiate soccer player goes through during a weekend in a competitive season. Goalkeepers will receive position-specific training. You will receive Adidas gear, go through the practice sessions, play games, and much more. Come spend a weekend to see what life is like at the highest level!
