This is a great camp for aspiring field players and goalkeepers who want to improve their overall soccer game. The camp will include both technical and tactical instruction. There will be a heavy emphasis on small sided games to maximize campers time on the ball but will include full sided play as well. Younger campers should be prepared for an environment that may require training and competing against older players.
Camp will begin at approximately 1:00pm on Friday, July 6 and conclude by 4:00pm on Saturday, July 7. Campers will stay in a Bellarmine University residence hall and eat meals in the campus dining hall for the full campus experience. Meals will begin with dinner on Friday night (so eat lunch prior to arrival) and conclude with lunch on Saturday. A detailed itinerary and directions will be sent out approximately one week prior to camp.
Overnight $200 thru May 30 (Price includes dorm room and meals during camp. You can choose to attend as a commuter but there is not a separate commuter price.)
Overnight $235 after May 30 (Price includes dorm room and meals during camp. You can choose to attend as a commuter but there is not a separate commuter price.)
The main training facility will be Owsley B. Fraizer stadium which hosted the NCAA Division II Mens & Womens Final Four for the second time in December of 2014. This is a field turf surface conducive to training in almost any condition. Indoor options are available on campus in the case of severe weather.
The Bellarmine University staff and current and former Bellarmine University soccer players will serve as coaches, group leaders and mentors. Additional college coaches may be added to the staff if numbers necessitate. Certified athletic trainers will be on call 24 hours a day.
