Doug Collins Court seating enhancement:Due to the extended period of the renovation of seating that is underway in Redbird Arena, Horton Fieldhouse as well as our practice facility will be the main location for this Summer’s Redbird Day Camps. Horton Fieldhouse is located at the Illinois State University Redbird Sports Complex, on the corner of Gregory and Adelaide Streets, about three miles south of Interstate 55. With 4 courts and 8 basketball goals, the newly renovated multi-use facility will be accommodating this Summer’s Redbird and Baby bird basketball camps. Registration will also take place within Horton Fieldhouse.
The Redbird Arena Seating Enhancement is an upgrade to the current seating of the Redbird Arena lower bowl. The seats, which are original to the building, will be removed to allow for new seating to be installed in the arena. Included in the enhancement will be additional courtside seats, loge seating, wider aisles with handrails, larger seats and the transition to a numerical system for sections as opposed to letters.
