Doug Collins Court seating enhancement:

Due to the extended period of the renovation of seating that is underway in Redbird Arena, Horton Fieldhouse as well as our practice facility will be the main location for this Summer’s Redbird Day Camps. Horton Fieldhouse is located at the Illinois State University Redbird Sports Complex, on the corner of Gregory and Adelaide Streets, about three miles south of Interstate 55. With 4 courts and 8 basketball goals, the newly renovated multi-use facility will be accommodating this Summer’s Redbird and Baby bird basketball camps. Registration will also take place within Horton Fieldhouse.

The Redbird Arena Seating Enhancement is an upgrade to the current seating of the Redbird Arena lower bowl. The seats, which are original to the building, will be removed to allow for new seating to be installed in the arena. Included in the enhancement will be additional courtside seats, loge seating, wider aisles with handrails, larger seats and the transition to a numerical system for sections as opposed to letters.

Illinois State Men’s Basketball Camps

Thank you for considering the Illinois State Redbird Men’s Basketball Camp. It is our goal to make your camp experience entertaining, instructive and beneficial. Our Staff and select Redbird players are committed to promoting a fun and safe camp environment.

There is no better example of head coach Dan Muller and his coaching staff’s ability to improve the skills of basketball players than the improvements Illinois State University men’s basketball team has made throughout this current season. Illinois State Basketball Camps are designed to help each camper improve their skills through individual instruction and team concept building in a fun and competitive atmosphere.

Campers will benefit immensely by participating in many of the same skill development drills that the Illinois State coaching staff utilizes to improve the skills of current Redbird players. With the help of current players and an elite camp staff, each camper will receive individualized attention during drills, games and camp contests. In addition, our coaching staff takes great pride in helping each camper not only become a great player on the floor but off the floor as well. This is evident by the educational lectures done each day by our current Redbird coaches and players on things such as academics, respect and hard work.

As a player, you will have an opportunity to fine tune your basketball skills on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena, while playing with and against some of the best student-athletes in the Missouri Valley Conference. We are thrilled to open up Redbird Arena for an exciting summer of camps. We look forward to seeing you on the court this summer! Go Redbirds!
