Welcome to Etowah High School Basketball Camps! Our camps are dedicated to providing a basketball experience that is both instructional and informational along with creating a great atmosphere to learn!

 

The coaching staff here at the Etowah High School prides itself on teaching the game of basketball to players of all ages and ability levels. The mechanics and drills that are taught at our camps are used with our players. We are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our campers.

Description

The Etowah Spring Skills Academy is designed to help each player develop their individual basketball skills. The Etowah Basketball staff is committed to creating a Standard of Excellence by developing the future Eagles with our advanced skills training.

 

Learn how to Soar Like an Eagle by getting trained by the Etowah Staff!

 

Each player will compete in our weekly Skill Sessions which are designed for Position-Specific Breakdown.

 

Dates:

  • Monday and Wednesday nights from 4:30pm-6:00pm
  • Sundays April 22nd to May 6th from 4:00pm-5:30pm
  • Sessions begin on April 9th and end on May 9th

 

Players will focus on the following skill development:

Ball Handling

Dribbling

Scoring Moves

Shooting

Passing

Defensive Toughness Drills 

Ball Control vs. pressure

1 on 1 moves

Speed and Explosiveness

Offensive Reads and Strategy

3 on 3 application every Session

2 Sundays Dedicated to a 3 on 3 league/Shooting Games.

Prizes to be given out at the end of the Season

 

Players: 5th-8th grade boys (only 40 players max)

 

Format: Our advanced skills training program concentrates on individual player development. It will consist of 2-drill Sessions per week right after school. With 2 Sundays for competition and games.

 

What to Bring: Athletic apparel (sneakers, t-shirt, shorts, gym shoes), snacks, water.

Please check in 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.

 

Waiver Information

Waiver will be attached to your e-mailed receipt as well as available on-line. Please turn in all forms at camp check in. Download Waiver Form

 

Accommodations

This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

Miscellaneous Information

Refund Policy


We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers,  but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer a basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration up to the start of the camp.

  

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Description

Our Players Camp has been developed to teach students how to PLAY the game of basketball.  We will focus on skill work in the morning and afternoon, but the primary focus will be campers learning the fundamentals through application.  Campers will be instructed by current Region 4A Coach of the Year, Jason Dasinger and his staff.  Current and former players from the Back to Back 4A Region Champions will also assist and coach players on a daily basis.  We look forward to working with our campers to learn how to play the game of basketball, compete, and grasp the basic fundamentals.

We will be using BOTH gyms this year.

 

Rising 3rd-6th graders will be using one gym and the rising 7th-9th graders will be using our 2nd gym.
