The Coaching Staff at BMore Elite is dedicated to the development and growth of distance runners of all ages and skill levels. We are committed to providing a positive and instrumental learning experience for our camp.

The Bmore Elite Distance Camp is a unique camp that combines a fun and energetic experience with a serious approach to becoming an elite distance runner.
Rather than simply playing games and running, the camp will teach the many facets of what it takes to maximize one's potential for those looking to compete as distance runners at the collegiate level. The camp will consist of numerous activities, a tubing trip down the Gunpowder River, and a wide variety of training sessions at various parks and within the facilities of Johns Hopkins University.
Other sessions will include but are not limited to core training sessions, physiology classes on distance training principles, proper aqua jogging instruction, plyo circuits, weight training for distance runners, as well as a gait analysis by physical therapist Josh Billings.
This Session limited to the first 48 participants!

10:15 10:30 - Introduction of instructors, campers, camp counselors, and overview of camp at Newton White Athletic Centers Auxiliary Gymnasium
10:30 - Introduction to warm-ups, distance run through Hackerman way/Gilman trail

1:30pm 2:45pm Classroom session Physiology of Energy Systems in Distance Running presented by Head Coach Bobby Van Allen (Mens Team Meeting Room Athletic Center)

Tuesday, July 14th

8:15am to 8:30am Depart for Lake Roland Park Trail distance run through Lake Roland Park off of Falls Rd. including hill sprints.
10:30am - Gait analysis discussion Mens team meeting room athletic center
11:00am to 5:00pm - Gait Analysis with Medstar physical therapy staff. Each camper will have an assigned time block during this time period in which they will report to the Recreation Center Cardio room treadmills ready to run on a treadmill to have their gait videod and analyzed.
11:00am to 5:00pm Optional Meetings with Coaches Van Allen, Horst, and Elliott
11:00am 12:00pm Tour of Campus by counselors (Black Team) or can sign up for official tour through admissions office
12:00pm 1:00pm Lunch at FFC
1:00pm 145pm Tour of Campus by counselors (Blue Team)
1:45pm 2:45pm Classroom Session with Head Coach Amy Horst Nutrition for Distance runners and functional strength presentation (Mens Team Meeting room)

12:15pm Trip to NCR Trail 1:00pm to 2:15pm Distance run on trail, 2:15pm 4:15pm tubing down Gunpowder River. Return to Hopkins between 5pm and 5:30 pm for parent pickup and departure from camp. Checkout of rooms/Shower at AMR is available upon return until 7pm. Bring your sandals

The training runs will vary in location from a trip to the NCR Trail in Gunpowder Park, Lake Roland Park, Druid Hill Park, Lake Montebello, Stoney Run Trail and the brand new 8 lane Hopkins/Loyola Track & Field facility
Brand new state of the art 8 lane Beynon Track & Field Complex, Johns Hopkins Varsity Weight Room, Varsity Pool and Diving well, artificial grass fields for core training sessions and drill circuits.
