Our Camps are designed to encompass an environment that is challenging yet fun. The staff puts every child’s interests first and that is the main reason why the Centre Camps have been so successful. The coaching, facilities, and organization ensure a wonderful soccer atmosphere

Description

The Centre College Goal Keeping Camp utilizes the latest innovations in goalkeeping training. The Keeper's Edge Soccer School is hired by the Centre Camp to come in and instruct the goalkeepers. The camp concentrates on technique and also applies tactical situations that goalkeepers face during games. The camp has a 9:1 student- teacher ratio that ensures optimal attention and improvement. Finally, the camp promises that the environment is challenging yet fun.

General Information

What To Expect: Your daughter can expect a full morning of goalkeeping training. After lunch, your daughter will have one session with the goalkeepers and one session with their assigned team.

 

Resident ----- $395.00 ($425.00 after June 6th)
Commuter --- $295.00 ($325.00 after June 6th)

 

Past concepts taught at camp include:
* 1 vs. 1 angles and break aways
* Distribution by hands and feet
* Machine Training utilizing several different saves in a game
* Foot work
* Collapse diving, basket and triangular catching, low and high contour saves
* Crosses (inswingers/outswingers, focus on catching and boxing the ball out)
* Back to the bar (working on footwork, catching the ball or parrying it over the bar)

 

I understand that the tuition covers instruction, lodging (if needed), awards (if awarded), t-shirt, certificate, and water bottle. This year, Centre will not be providing a camp ball. If you would like to purchase a personalized Centre Camp Ball, you will have that opportunity at check out.

Commuter campers need to bring a lunch but are unable to eat in the Cowan dining facilities based on health codes.

What if I have to cancel a camp? We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called Cancellation Protection. We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

The Centre College Senior Camp is a division created for high school players wanting a camp that enhances tactical awareness while still concentrating on technical play. The camp has been set up so that high school teams can come as a group and play in round robin tournament play. Several programs that have supported the camp in the past include: Boyle County, Central Hardin, Danville, East Jessamine, Elizabethtown, Lexington Christian Academy, Paducah Tilghman, Scott County, Somerset, and University Heights. The camp also has done a wonderful job bringing players to it who are interested in playing for the Centre College Women's Team. Each year, Coach Hoffman creates several teams made up of college recruits.

Centre Camps have always taken pride in the attention each player receives. The junior division strives to enhance technical skill by concentrating on individual play and small sided games. Some of the best clubs in the state have sent their players to take in the Centre experience. A few of these clubs include CKSC, Commonwealth, Javanon, LFC, and Mockingbird. Tim Wolz, Jordan Parker, and TY Stauffer head the junior division camp. Their knowledge of the game combined with their energy and ability to instruct middle school players will once again ensure that this camp is a major attraction.
