Colorado College Volleyball 2018 Prospect Camp

Description 

The Colorado College Prospect Volleyball Camp is an advanced five session skills development camp designed for girls entering their freshmen, sophomore, junior or senior year. The camp curriculum is designed to be challenging with emphasis on individual and small group instruction, followed by competitive game training. Instruction will be provided by the Colorado College volleyball coaching staff. Current and former team members will also help supplement training sessions as needed. The Prospect Camp is intended for ALL college bound student-athletes. Prospects will learn more about Colorado College and gain a better understanding of the college bound process.

 

General Information

 

Cost: $325.00

Early registration must be received by July 1st. Only the nonrefundable deposit of $50.00 may be paid at this time. Remaining balance of $275.00 may be paid on the first day of camp by either check (payable to CC Volleyball Camp) or cash or prepaid by sending payment to: Colorado College Volleyball Prospect Camp

 

Each Camper will receive a
Camp Volleyball, Camp T-shirt and True Sport Bag.
5 meals, 2 nights lodging
13 hours of Volleyball instruction

 

Camp Includes

Campers should bring the following
Pain reliever (in case of illness), trainers will not be able to provide any type of medication.
3-Days of volleyball attire (black or blue spandex shorts, T-shirts, socks, shoes, kneepads)
Extra socks and t-shirts
Sweatshirt or light jacket with warm pants (recommended in case of inclement weather)
Casual clothing (1-2 outfits)
Alarm Clock, Flashlight, Hair dryer Toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc)
Gym bag or back pack, Water bottle
Additional money for snacks
Final Payment for Camp

Camp Director
Colorado College Head Coach Rick Swan is the director of the Colorado College volleyball camps. In 18 seasons at Colorado College, Coach Swan, the all-time winningest coach (454-159) in the program's history, has lead his teams to 18 straight NCAA appearances. Coach Swan has been coaching and playing the game of volleyball for over 25 years and has extensive experience in teaching the game of volleyball to young players. His junior club team won the Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier in '07 and he coached his 12-under team to a tenth place finish at USA Junior Nationals in 2010.

 

Assistant Camp Director
Colorado College assistant coach Wayne Wetherby will be assistant director at the camp. Coach Wetherby has coached volleyball at the high school and club levels for over the past 20 years and has been coaching at the collegiate level for the past 11 years. His experience and ability to teach volleyball to young players has brought much success to the programs with which he has been involved.

Other Camp Programs: If the Colorado College Camp dates don't work for you, Coach Swan and his staff also offer private lessons, small group lessons or a private team camp.

 

Check-in

Check in will be at 12:00pm in Loomis Hall (Check out must be no later than 1:00pm)

 

Directions

Camp will be held in the recently renovated athletic facilities at Colorado College with more court space and air conditioned gyms!

 

Driving directions here
Interstate 25 is the major highway into Colorado Springs. Take Exit #143 (Uintah Street) and go east (away from the mountains) to Cascade Avenue. Turn right (south) and you will be on campus. Go about a half a block and turn right just past the round building(Boettcher Health Center). Loomis Hall will be directly straight ahead.

 

Parking Information

Parking is free and passes can be picked up at Check-in at Loomis Hall.

 

Accommodations

The College will provide the following linens:
Sheets, blanket, pillow and cases provided.
Please be sure to bring towels and washcloths with you.

 

$75 FEE WILL BE CHARGED if room key is not returned at check out.

 

Miscellaneous Information

Cancellation Policy: Camp registration fee (if pre-paid), less the nonrefundable $50 deposit will be returned if cancellation occurs prior to July 1st, 2017.
