Colorado Christian University women's volleyball hosts a pre-season scrimmage with the University of Nebraska Kearney.
Coach Harshman took over the CCU Volleyball program in the spring of 2015. In her inaugural season with the Cougars they won 20 games and were named the NCCAA Central Region Champions. This last year, Harshman and the Cougar squad improved to a 27-11 overall record, going 12-6 in conference making the RMAC Tournament. After getting pushed out in the first round, CCU participated in the NCCAA post-season winning the Central Regional Tournament for the fourth year in a row. 2016 goes down in the record books as CCUs most successful season with a .711 winning percentage.

In addition to her efforts on the volleyball court, Harshman has also influenced her teams in ministry, organizing and leading mission trips to Liberia, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. Additionally, she served as Assistant Athletic Director for Grace and as the NCCAA National Volleyball Chair, NCCAA Midwest Region Chair, and Crossroads Volleyball League Chair.
Coach Harshman also coached in a volunteer capacity under Head Coach Debbie Brown at Notre Dame University from 2007 to 2015.
First Assistant Jason Rhine joined Colorado Christian Volleyball in the summer of 2015, after assisting for two seasons at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. Prior to his stint with the Scots, Coach Rhine served three years at Trinity International in Deerfield, IL. While at TIU, Rhine earned his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Coach Rhine also coached two seasons at Wisconsin Juniors Volleyball Club. He received his BA from Wheaton College.
Graduate Assistant Coach
Coach Burke has been on staff with CCU Volleyball since 2014 and serves as the head JV coach and an assistant for the Varsity program. Cassidy graduated from CCU in 2013 and played a successful four years with the Cougars, ending her career with the programs first ever NCAA National appearance.
Cassidy led the Cougars on and off the court academically, physically, and spiritually and earned the title of CCUs Female Athlete of the Year in 2013. Her senior captain year, she was also the recipient for the Cougar Award for “four years of excellence in competition, the classroom, and the community.” Before coaching college, Cassidy coached club volleyball for eight years and co-founded a club in the Denver area. Cassidy has led three athletic mission trips to Costa Rica and continually finds ways to bring the community together with the CCU program.
Cassidy graduated All-Academic from CCU with a double bachelors in Business Administration and Accounting with a double emphasis in Marketing and Biblical Studies and currently works at an Asset Management company in Denver. She also serves as the president of the CCU Alumni Association, and in 2014 was selected as CCUs Alumnus of the Year.
