Description

The youth camp is designed to teach, develop, and improve skills for all campers looking to learn and excel in football. This camp is a contact free camp. Helmets and shoulder pads are not required.

 

Details
A certified Athletic Trainer will be present
Lunch and a T-Shirt is included

All camp activities will be held on Field Turf and Astro Turf surfaces.

Protection of Minor Statement
Boston College's policy on the Protection of Minors is designed to provide a safe environment for minors when on the Boston College campus, or while participating in University-sponsored activities off campus. This Policy is intended to apply to University-sponsored activities involving minors, and programs for minors sponsored by non-University organizations that operate in University facilities. All people associated with the program pass vigorous background checks and preventative instruction.

 

NCAA Rules
In compliance with NCAA regulations all campers will be invited to attend and participate limited only by age/grade entering and space available. Campers that have graduated from high school are still allowed to participate as long as they have not enrolled at a 2 or 4 year college.

 

Check-in

Registration starts at 9:00am.

 

Medical Documents Required

All campers will be required to provide a current physical and full immunization history to participate in the camp.  The physical must be within 24 months of the start of camp and can be the doctors own form or completed using the BC Physical Form.  A full immunization history must be provided as well.  The following immunizations are required and all dates must be MM/DD/YYYY:

  • DPT/DTP/DTaP min of 4 doses but usually 5 (does not include Tdap or Td Booster)
  • Polio (IPV or OPV) min of 3 doses unless a mix of IPV and OPV are given then 4 doses required
  • MMR Combined min of 2 doses or 1 shot of each of the following: measles, mumps, rubella.
  • Tdap/Td booster min 1 dose required within the last 10 years if entering grades 7-8.
  • Hepatitis B Series min 3 doses

 

Directions

Boston College is located in the Chestnut Hill section of Newton, Massachusetts.  The campus is approximately six miles west of the City of Boston.
 
FROM COMMONWEALTH AVENUE (Continue from * here)
** Boston Colleges main gate will be on your right as you drive down Commonwealth Ave.  At the bottom of the hill is St. Ignatius Church.  Make a right at the church and your next right into the lower campus entrance.  Follow Campanella Way around and park in the first garage you come to (Comm. Ave. garage).  After exiting the garage, continue via foot on Campanella Way to the Yawkey Center on your right.
 
FROM POINTS NORTH AND SOUTH
Take Interstate 95 (Route 128) to Exit 24 (Route 30).  Proceed east on Route 30, also known as Commonwealth Ave., and follow for approximately five miles to BC.  Continue from * above.
 
FROM POINTS WEST
Take Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to Exit 17.  At the first set of lights off the exit ramp, take a right onto Centre Street.  Follow Center St. to the fourth set of lights and turn left onto Commonwealth Ave for two miles to BC.  Continue from * above.
 
FROM DOWNTOWN BOSTON
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to Exit 17.  Take a left over the bridge after passing the Crowne Plaze hotel.  Take the first right onto Centre Street.  Follow Center St. to the fourth set of lights and turn left onto Commonwealth Ave for two miles to BC.  Continue from * above.
 
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (MBTA)
The Boston College branch of the MBTAs Green Line (B) ends at the Boston-Newton boundary on Commonwealth Ave.  Cross the street and walk by St. Ignatius Church.  Follow Campanella Way around to the right through lower campus and to the Yawkey Center.
 
FROM AIRPORT
When exiting the airport, take the Ted Williams Tunnel / Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) west.  Follow directions From Downtown Boston listed above.

 

Miscellaneous Information

Refunds

All cancellations need to be in writing and should be sent to bcfbcamp@bc.edu or faxed to 617.552.2080. To be eligible for a refund, you must complete the refund request form which can be obtained by emailing bcfbcamp@bc.edu.

 

All refund requests made prior to June 1st will receive a full refund less online fees.

 

Overnight campers will only be granted refunds for medical reasons starting June 1st. Refund requests received prior to June 1st will receive full refunds less online fees and those received after will be subject to a $100 administrative fee.

 

Single-Day/Commuter campers can cancel up to 48 priors to the start of camp. For requests made starting June 1st, a $25 administrative fee will be held.

 

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED 24 HOURS BEFORE CAMP STARTS
