Danny Miller

Head Coach

The 2016 season will mark the 22nd year of Averett University volleyball under the guidance of Danny Miller. Since taking over the program at Averett, Miller has led the Cougars to a 531-260 record and four NCAA Tournament appearances. He has also won seven conference tournament titles and 11 regular season crowns, including the 2015 USA South Conference North Division championship.

Miller has raised the bar in the USA South, while his teams have posted victories in nearly 70 percent of their contests. He ranks in the top-40 among active Division III coaches in career winning percentage at .671. That is a remarkable feat, considering he has done it against some of the top teams in the nation.

In conference play, Millers resume is second to none. He has a career record of 262-51 against USA South opponents and has won more than 83 percent of his league games. In 2013 and again in 2015, his team set a program single-season record with 17 conference wins.
