DescriptionThe University of North Alabama will host a basketball camp for boys and girls in grades K through 12. This summer's camp will be held at Flowers Hall and the student recreation center on the UNA campus. The UNA coaching staff and players will be in attendance running all of the drills and instructing the campers with a "hands-on" approach. The UNA Basketball Camp is a great way for players to work on the fundamentals of the game in a competitive and energetic environment. Included your camp fee will be a t-shirt, basketball and lunch. This camp is open to boys and girls entering K through 12th grades. Camp Objective Basketball camp is a time to develop individual skills, make memories and most importantly prepare for the upcoming season. Our goal is to provide you with sound instruction and techniques to help you improve on the court. All of our campers learn so much but also have a great time. Our staff has many years of camp experience and we take pride in building some-thing special at the University of North Alabama. Awards Ceremony Staff Information: Coach Bobby Champagne will be assisted by the entire UNA Coaching staff as well as many of our current and former players. Camp Includes * T-shirt * Evaluation * Certificate * Camp Basketball What To Bring: Come dressed ready to play basketball with athletic shorts, a t-shirt and basketball/athletic shoes. Do not bring jewelry, watches, hats, etc. Cell phones will be put away during camp time. You do not need to bring a basketball. Location: Camp will take place in Flowers Hall on the campus of the University of North Alabama. Some activities may take place in the student recreation center and campers may take a tour of the university and the lion habitat. Camp Trainer We will have a certified trainer on site throughout the camp. If you have any medical concerns regarding your child, please convey this to the trainer during check-in. All campers should have medical insurance and be physically fit to participate in athletics. A physical is not required but all campers should be cleared by a physician to participate. Visitation: All family members are welcome to observe any portion of camp. There is limited seating. Pick up and drop off: Campers should be dropped off in front of Flowers Hall (916 N. Pine St.) in time for the start of camp. Pick up is in the same location at the end of camp each day. Campers will not be allowed to walk across Pine Street. Discipline: Any serious violation of camp rules or regulations could result of dismissal from camp with no refund. Insurance: Each basketball camp participant is required to provide their own medical insurance. An athletic trainer is on duty at all times. Because of the rigorous schedule, each camper should come to camp in good physical condition.
Check-inRegistration will take place at Flowers Hall Monday at 8:00am with camp beginning promptly at 9:00am.
Parking InformationParking is limited on our campus. There should be parking spaces available directly across from Flowers Hall or in the parking lot on Waterloo Road.
MealsLunch will be provided as part of camp on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Lunch will not be provided on Thursday.
MerchandiseCamp Bank: A camp bank will be available for campers to use for snack items and drinks throughout camp.
Miscellaneous InformationWhat is your refund policy? $50.00 of the total is considered a deposit and is non-refundable. If a camper is unable to attend to do unforeseen circumstances, notification must be made prior to the first day of camp. Campers who register the day of camp will be assessed a $25.00 late registration fee and will not be guaranteed the t-shirt size they request. Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way to communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you registered for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
